Yoga...

Today was yoga day.   The last day of my first (official) week of the 21 day fix! It had been a busy week!  I almost didn't get my workout in yesterday, but made it happen at about 930 last night. 
I kind of slacked on the eating part this weekend... I'm still trying to figure out a good on the go breakfast and take along lunch that fit in with the rest of my daily meals... it's kind of like piecing together a puzzle!  I had a few off meals since Friday but had some good "on" meals, too. 

So... I'm not so into yoga. Maybe because I had an 11 month old running around while doing it, maybe because i didn't break a sweat, maybe a little combination.  I did a tad of yoga during my pregnancies and wanted to get a little more into it, but never did. 
Now, while I was happy with a light, easy workout today, if I'm going to take a half hour out of my day to "work out" I darn well better be dripping wet at some point! So today, as with most other days, i did a little 10 minute abs after yoga and was semi-satisfied with my day.

My Biggest Challenge

Finding time!

I could probably manage my time a little better but some days I get a little carried away on the computer... there, I said it! Some days I just spend too much time internetin'.

After a night like last night though, I'm glad today's workout is Yoga! It was one of those, one finally falls asleep and then the other is up kinda nights. And Abby is starting to get sick so she's been crabby most of the morning.  SICkY MoVIe DAY!

I stay my 21 day fix challenge with my coach for real tomorrow!! I'm going to buckle down and really stay on track. Which means a lot of days like yesterday. My hour (if that) of ME time goes to my workout, maybe a little extra ab workout, shower and then making a shakeology shake.
If Abby naps I'll wake her up after about an hour. If she sleeps too long, she takes forever going to bed at night! If she doesn't nap she's usually pretty good at playing while I work out. 

I recently found a girl on instagram who has two little girls, similar ages to my kids, who mimic her in the gym! Its adorable and so good for those kids to learn that physical activity every day is important and healthy! I'd like for my kids to see the same thing, even though Abby doesn't really have much of an interest in "working out" with me (she does occasionally she'll try some of the moves, though.) I'm certainly not going to push her to to it or force her to watch me, obviously, but I think it is very important for her to see me push through a workout.  

Not only the workout but the eating as well.  We are doing our best to teach her the importance of making healthy choices but it helps that we can teach by example.  

So, I leave you with this: I'm doing this for ME.......... And.. my KIDS!

Ooops!

I did my second workout (dirty 30) on Tuesday and felt much better than Monday.  I did the Yoga Fix yesterday and realized mid workout that I STARTED WITH THE WRONG CD!!!!!!!!!!! Ha!

That's OK though, at least I was working out, right?!

My coach is starting a 21 day fix challenge on the 22 anyway so I will re-start with the first workout then.  As for now I will still do a workout every day but I'll probably just mix it up :)

Yesterday I made Fruit leather with the peaches my kids and I picked a couple days ago!! I put spinach in one of them and probably should not have done so much! Oh well, now I know for next time!

It's been a while... again!

I've been busy since I last wrote.  I started my own Pampered Chef business in February, WooHoo!! It's been a fun ride and I am loving it! I also just became a Beachbody Coach! ... Really, 2 kids, husband working different shifts, pampered chef, AND beachbody! I know what you're thinking and I'm thinking it too... I hope I'm not spreading myself too thin.

With that being said, for now as far as beachbody goes, I will be blogging here about my new fitness adventure with the 21 day fix.  I will continue as a Pampered Chef consultant and loving and teaching my kids.

SOoo, here it goes! 

My why:  
Since having my kids, I've only stepped on the ice a hand full of times.  Hockey has always been my way of keeping in shape.  I am not overweight now by any means, I am just OUT OF SHAPE!!  My weight is close to what it was before kids but I think it is distributed differently.  So I want to get back in shape. I want to be a positive roll model for my kids.  I want them to know that to be healthy you have to sweat! You have to do things you may not want to do.  You have to push yourself to get where you want to be.  I want them to grow up seeing me active. I want them to see that I take pride in my body and more importantly my health.  My daughter (who just turned 3 in august) often gets frustrated while doing things and then gets mad and throws what ever it is or quits doing what she was doing.  I want her to learn perseverance. I want her to learn not to give up. 

I don't want to tell my kids all this stuff. I want them to see it. I want to teach them by example. I want them to see me persevering through a workout.  Struggling to finish a set.  Pushing myself to do the harder way, to do one more rep.  
So, my why is to lead. To lead my kids by example.  To lead them to a better, stronger, healthier life.

Today I got my 21 day fix package in the mail!! I opened it at lunchtime and did my first workout during Charlie's afternoon nap.  I did the total body cardio fix.  It kicked my butt, but I pushed through and finished the workout as Abby watched, played, and tried it out a little (in the beginning!) I am still figuring out my meal plan, and will start that tomorrow :) 

I am going to take some before pics tonight.  Don't expect to see them any time soon haha!
